Bilbao airport (BIO, Loiu) is about 9 to 12 km north of the centre. The Bizkaibus A3247 bus links the airport to Plaza Moyúa and the Gran Vía in 20 to 25 minutes; a taxi takes 15 to 20 minutes outside rush hour. For Getxo, Portugalete and Gernika, we arrange the journey to suit your programme. Elciego, in Rioja Alavesa, is further away: we plan a private transfer for the group.

Bilbao has meeting rooms in several hotels in the centre and in Abando. Meliá Bilbao has seven rooms, including a combined set-up for 250 people. Barceló Bilbao Nervión has ten, and its largest set-up holds up to 350 people theatre style. NH Collection Villa de Bilbao has seven, its largest room holding 180 people. For receptions, the Marqués de Riscal can welcome up to 400 guests. For larger congresses, we design the ideal set-up with each venue. In Getxo and Rioja Alavesa, dinners and receptions suit groups particularly well.

Bilbao can be visited all year round. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for a seminar, with mild temperatures. In summer the city comes alive and the coast is very lively. The Aste Nagusia, Bilbao's big August festival, brings the city to life. In autumn, the Rioja Alavesa harvest (September and October) is the high point for cellar visits.

The hanging bridge, on the UNESCO list, and a simple meeting hotel with a banquet room.
Gernika-Lumo
A town steeped in Basque history, at the edge of the Urdaibai reserve. Visits are prepared with a local guide.
Rioja Alavesa
A vineyard area inland in Álava, with cellars and estate hotels. We arrange a private transfer to get there.
