The area combines two formats. In Málaga city, business and conference hotels in the centre allow meetings and seminars without leaving the city, near the port and the historic centre. On the coast, golf resorts and beach hotels, from Marbella to Mijas, host executive seminars and incentive programmes.

Each hotel has its own rooms and capacities. We present the spaces best suited to your group, for a tailor-made programme.

Barcelona holds the largest capacities in the region: the InterContinental, the W, the Hilton Diagonal Mar and the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower offer numerous meeting rooms and plenaries for several hundred to over a thousand people. At the Hyatt in L'Hospitalet, the 1,614 m² Cosmos Ballroom sets the stage.

Beyond the city, the region opens up more intimate formats: beach hotels in Sitges and Begur, historic Girona, cava cellars and masias in the Penedès, the Montserrat monastery and the Roman city of Tarragona. Each venue lends itself to a tailored programme, and we match every hotel to the right capacity for your group.

Madrid hosts large congresses and trade fairs. Around Barajas airport and the IFEMA exhibition centre, several hotels offer meeting and banquet rooms for groups of several hundred people. The Gran Madrid at NH Collection Eurobuilding, at 1,074 m², and the Isabela ballroom at the Hilton Madrid Airport, at 450 m², are among the largest rooms in the selection.

In the centre and on the Castellana, palace and luxury hotels host executive committees, gala dinners and receptions. Within easy reach of the capital, the Parador de Chinchón, in a former monastery, offers a more peaceful setting for small-group retreats.

Ibiza hosts large groups in the south of the island, at Playa d'en Bossa, where the Grand Palladium Palace and the Hard Rock Hotel offer the largest rooms in the selection: the biggest, 695 m² at the Grand Palladium, seats 650 in theatre style.

The rest of the island opens up more intimate formats: luxury resorts in the north, at Portinatx and Na Xamena, a design hotel at Santa Eulària, a resort on Talamanca bay and a rural estate near Santa Eulària. The town hotel in Ibiza town is well suited to working seminars. We tailor each venue to the size and programme of your group.

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands. Palma is its capital and main gateway, with its airport and historic centre. Around the city the island offers clear contrasts: the villages of the Serra de Tramuntana, the Bay of Alcúdia to the north, the port of Andratx to the south-west and the coves of Santanyí to the south-east.

Solara DMC organises seminars, conferences, incentives and gala dinners across the island. The venue depends on group size: the larger hotels in Palma and Alcúdia host plenary sessions, while small mountain and coastal hotels suit groups of a few dozen people.

Menorca is the northernmost and quietest of the Balearic Islands. Maó, the capital, sits on a very deep natural harbour. Ciutadella, to the west, is the former capital, with a historic centre and a port. Meeting hotels are mainly around the bay of Mahón, in Ciutadella and on the south coast. Each hotel has its own capacity, which we adapt to the size of your group.

Bilbao, in northern Spain, is a city on the ría whose Guggenheim museum made it a cultural destination. Around it, Getxo and Portugalete line the Bizkaia coast, Gernika lies near the Urdaibai reserve, and Elciego, in Rioja Alavesa, is a wine estate inland in Álava. Solara DMC organises seminars, incentives and meetings of small to mid-sized groups, with accommodation in the city or in the countryside depending on the programme.

Seville holds the largest capacities in the area: the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento offers 35 rooms and a 1,024 m² plenary room for 1,200 people in theatre style. The Meliá Sevilla has a dedicated congress centre. In the city, historic and boutique hotels offer more intimate formats, and a hacienda in Sanlúcar la Mayor adds a country setting.

The Huelva coast offers another format: seaside resorts with accommodation on site. The Barceló Punta Umbría Beach Resort is the largest in the selection, with a 4,000 m² convention centre. Further west, in Ayamonte, Lepe and Cartaya, the resorts are on a human scale, ideal for peaceful retreats.

Valencia brings together several congress hotels beside the Palacio de Congresos, on the Cortes Valencianas and Valle de Ayora avenues. The Sercotel Sorolla Palace, next to the palace, hosts the 1,093 m² Gran Salón Recatí, and the Meliá Valencia, facing the palace, the 798 m² Terra room.

Beyond the city centre, the selection includes a hotel in Paterna with a 690 m² room, a hotel in Alboraya with a spa and an 884 m² room, and a seafront resort, Las Arenas, with a 680 m² Poseidón room. A retreat in Farnals completes the offer for small groups.
